The highly anticipated adaptation of Normal People starring our Sebastian De Souza can now be seen on BBC iPlayer following on from its UK premiere on the 26th April.

Written by novelist Sally Rooney, Normal People follows the complex friendship and relationship between two teenagers, Connell and Marianne, who both attend the same secondary school in County Sligo and, later, Trinity College Dublin. The pair weave in and out of each other’s lives across their university years developing an intense bond that brings to light the traumas and insecurities that make them both who they are.

Sebastian plays the recurring guest lead role of Gareth – Marianne’s charming and outspoken boyfriend who befriends Connell during their time at college.

The Guardian gave the series 5 stars and stated “It’s a triumph in every way, from acting and direction to script, and if we see a better drama – certainly about adolescence, one which takes it seriously without treating it indulgently – this year, I’d be very surprised.”

Normal People is also in partnership with Hulu and will have its US premiere on the 29th April.
